Good news: my website is up and running! Somebody please click on it so it will have visitors and The Googles will start to like me again (and let me know if there are any problems). There are still some issues--namely, through efforts to make it work, we managed to create a sort of Star Trekky parallel universe situation, with other stephanieblack.net websites existing concurrently with the real one. But we'll get that cleaned up at some point and right now, the link above will take you to the right spot (caution: if you get to a stephanieblack.net that depicts me as someone who returns her library books on time and did not eat a large chocolate chip cookie for breakfast this morning, that's not the right universe).
Other fun news: I will be doing a Ladies Night booksigning for Shadowed at the Beehive Bookstore in Campbell, California on Saturday, October 6th. I'm so excited! If you're in the area, come see me! (I'll post details later when I get them).
Wow, over 800K hits! Celebrate when you hit a million!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what font you're using in various places? It's on the lined paper on the Welcome page, and I saw it in a couple of other places. My HTML is failing me. (It told me it was Courier New in one spot, which I know is not right, because that's the one I use for code.)
Also, how much spam do you get on your Contact Me email? ;)
800K hits? Haha, good grief, that's clearly a mistake. Maybe something got messed up, because even if everyone who's ever heard of my books went there regularly, it wouldn't be that high.
ReplyDeleteThat font is Handwriting-Dakota. And I haven't had any trouble with spam on the Contact Me email. That's why I don't use my regular address there, so if I do have trouble with spam, I can always change it. But Gmail is really good with the spam filters.
BTW, my wife would be a-ok with cookies for breakfast. She's fond of pie, cinnamon rolls, cake, other assorted pastries as breakfast food. I don't usually like something sweet as the first thing I eat, so I'll pass on those.
DeleteI know people say "fiber bars" and groan, but there's a really good one that has a peanut butter and jelly flavor that is really good!
When does Shadowed come out, do you have a release date yet?
Mmm . . . pie and cinnamon rolls. I love baked goods. They're my biggest downfall when it comes to weight management. I could ignore a box of Godiva chocolates far easier than a pan of cinnamon rolls.
DeleteShadowed is coming out in September--I don't know the exact date, but I imagine it should start showing up in bookstores within the first couple of weeks. According to Amazon, the Kindle version will be available Sept. 1st.
Website looks great and I love the cover of Shadowed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie!
DeleteYour web site looks good and I'm anxious to read Shadowed.
ReplyDelete*jealous* I'd love to live close to Campbell.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennie! And Donna, I wish I could see you there!
